Survey Purpose
The purpose of the Youth Engagement Survey is to collect detailed information regarding how young people are being effectively engaged throughout the Lincoln community.

The results of this survey can be found by clicking the links below. These links outline youth engagement activities and can serve as a guide or resource for any organization seeking to engage youth for the first time or deepen current youth engagement practices.

- Provides a snapshot of how well the Lincoln community is doing in engaging youth.
- Serves as a tool for building and strengthening partnerships that lead to new youth engagement opportunities.

The survey information below is not connected to grants or funding. There is no ranking or highlighting of any specific programs or organizations. All information is treated equally.

Standard #1: Youth are meaningfully engaged within the community.
Indicator #1 – Youth participate in community events.
Indicator #2 – Youth volunteer.
Standard #2: Youth build on their strengths and continually develop leadership skills.
Indicator #1 – Youth serve, participate and hold leadership positions on community boards, councils, advisory boards, and planning groups.
Indicator #2 – Youth coach, tutor and mentor others.
Standard #3: Youth are engaged in goal setting.
Indicator #1 – Youth learn and discuss how to set measurable and attainable goals.
Indicator #2 – Youth are able to articulate their goals and how they will meet them.
Indicator #3 – Youth goals are documented and progress is tracked.
Indicator #4 – Youth recognize and celebrate when goals are achieved.
Standard #4: Youth are active participants in the planning, promotion and implementation of youth development outcomes and activities.
Indicator #1 – Youth participate in the development and implementation of group projects, programs and activities.
Indicator #2 – Youth debrief and reflect on the outcomes of program activities.
Standard #5: Youth partner with staff to define standards of behavior.
